its now only 27 days till the wii
but i have a question... in all the reviews etc that i have read you need wireless broadband to get onto the wii shopping channel... i havent got wireless broadband just normal broadband... but it does say in the reviews that if you buy a lan adaptor for £19 you can use a wired connection... so all what is a lan adaptor? do i buy it in shops like game? how does it work? is it simple to set up?...
btw i use btyahoo broadband (highest package)... i have a bt voyager 205 adsl router and i need to be able to use the internet without changing wires etc

ok if you have router their will be a network ethernet scoket in it . this is a lan socket and is used to connect your pc to another net work device ie another pc or a xbox etc . Now in the case of the ps2 you had to buy an adapter that fited on the back which enabled a lan cable to connect between the 2 modem/router and ps2 .Iam thinking when the wi comes out it will work on the same princeaple .I would imagine that when you buy the console they will sell the bits . I've never heard that bit about the shoping channel0

maybe your computer has been set up to be the computer wired into the router
say if you have a laptop (or any other wifi enabled device)that would be able to connect to the net wirelessly0 -

thansk devizes... thats helped a bit but at the momment i use the ethernet socket to go from my router to the computer rather than the usb port... should i change this in order for it to work? yes i thought they would sell it at the same place... just making surethe shopping channel is where you can download all the nes/snes and mega drive games for years ago... obviously they charge but this is one of the features i was looking forward too
and if it cant be done

if the ethernet cable goes straight into the computer leave it that way and plug the ethernet cable for the wii into another ethernet socket on your router0
