Appologies if this is in the wrong section, but i'm fuming at the moment! I checked my HSBC current account on-line yesterday & there was a Maestro transaction dated the 16th Feb 2005. The recipient of the payment was Legoland Windsor. I visited Legoland Windsor LAST OCTOBER!!!!! This transaction has put my account into…

no probs

yep have seen it frequently, particularly around the busier times - eg christmas. transactions 'time out' and the retailer processes it again. the first transaction didnt actually time out though - result - double debit pending

double debits from a retailer sitting pending for 3 days. customer has no money to access because it wont drop off. very frustating for them naturally.
