complaint upheld - money witheld

Egg have upheld my complaint. I'm very pleased. However they say they can't refund me yet due to the ongoing judicial review. I know others have had this problem. How can I get them to hand over my money?

Unfortunately, this seems to be a lot of this going on lately, not sure if there is a quicker way, but hope your not waiting too long now for your refund, good luck.;)

Did they offer you the refund in their final response? did they put it in writing that theyre not going to pay you anything until after the JR? If the answer to both of these questions is yes then phone the ombudsman service and ask to refer the complaint. Im not sure whether this will speed up the process but it will at least make sure that this is registered and noted when the FSA fines egg for their behaviour.

I've had a similar reply from egg. They havnt offered anything yet, they have just said they need to wait until the outcome of the review so they can calculate how much is owed .

I think you should take your cases to the ombudsman guys! a little bit of extra effort for you but cases are being progressed, and if it doesnt save any time it at least means that Egg have to pay an extra £500!

Hey! Its not daft atall! When a complaint is referred to the ombudsman it costs the lender 500 quid!

Sorry for being stupid, but.........
Am I right in thinking that because it's been upheld by egg that it's 90% chance the ombudsman will uphold in my favour. Just worried by pushing it the decision might get reversed !!

gave the FOS a ring for some advice, they said egg should not have put this on hold, paperwork is in the post, taking it to the ombudsman hopefully im not in this for too much of a long haul!!!
