    Probably the cheapest option would be to replace the bonnet with a second hand one (the same colour) and just forget about it.
  • op, you should be greatful he led them down dead end roads and the like, he could have led them straight to the campsite, where the wheels would have come off the car quicker than you could imagine, the bonnet would have been the least of their worries!
