Has anyone had any experience with this site?

I am after a copy of the full office 2010, for a course I am doing and came accross this site (and no Open Office will not do :()

I have had a search as much as I can on the web and the review sites I have read, the users rate them 4.5-5 stars. But there are only a few hundred reviews. I am a little nervous, but trust you guys and gals :rotfl:

If you are registered as a student, you should be able to buy it via your course provider at a significant discount, failing that, Microsoft often run very good offers, I think I pay £25 for the last version of word.

    It's only £38 here:

They are not actually located where they say they are as the London address on the website is for http://www.w1office.com/

There is no limited company named buyitultracheap on the companies house website and I don't see any company or VAT number nor has google indexed any page on their site containing VAT or V.A.T.

The company or individual who registered the domain is effectively hidden as it is listed as...

    Secure Registrations, Ltd.
    Ritzela De Gracia (info@secureregistrationsltd.com)
    +1.2234708
    Fax:
    #1 Mapp Street
    Belize City, BZ N/A
    BZ

None of this proves they are not legit but it does raise a red flag and I think I'd personally look elsewhere.
  • If you are looking for cheap office 2010 then I can fully recommend the software4students website (couldn't post the link but simply google software4students and you will find it) . I have just installed the full version of office 2010 onto two computers for a total cost of approx £40. To qualify for this amazing offer you either have to be a student or be a parent with children in school, that includes any child from primary school to high school. You can find all the details on thier website.
They have equally amazing deals on windows 7 and various adobe software.

    Happy shopping

I was thinking about buying Adobe Lightroom from there but after Googling the site name I found this thread and that prompted me to dig a little deeper. I then found this: hxxp://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en/genuineoffice/thread/3b8bd3c7-21fa-4b3f-9f2b-29b0284f1fcb (sorry that it's not a direct link - the forum wouldn't let me post it because I'm too new here). The Microsoft rep on that forum doesn't seem to thing that they're legit either.

If OpenOffice isn't suitable, then a very recent fork of the project isn't going to be suitable either.
