Someone told me that the goverment had reduced the amout of years needed to claim a full pension from 40 to 30 years contributions,and that if you had been working for 30 years you could stop paying N.I.Contributions without it affecting your Pension,does anyone know if this is correct,if so how do you go about stopping

Contributions for at least 30 years NI gets you a full state pension.
Unfortunately, you still have to pay NI and there is no stopping it I'm afraid until your state pension kicks in.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
