Child DLA Renewal

My son has ADHD. His award for dla will end on 15th June 2011 but i recieved new forms to fill in yesterday, filled them in and sent them back recorded today. How long does a renewal take? This is my first and nothing has changed since the first time I clamed.

I had my youngest's returned and accepted within 8 weeks.

hello - the amount of time can vary, if you have included enough information in your form and an appropriate person ( GP, HV, Physio Teacher, Mental health nurse etc etc) has countersigned the form then it may be back within about 6-8 weeks

if you have given the bare minimum of information in your answers and have relied on saying " nothing has changed since last claim"
you may find that they write to experts asking for further information to support your sons claim

I have to say, I have never managed to complete the forms in one day - I find them quite upsetting and full of negativity to complete and it always seems to take me a couple of weeks to get my head round it and to get them countersigned by someone - so well done you for managing it so eifficiently !:)
