I misplaced my wallet, which had some credit cards in + Saving account cards, which I cant seem to find in my room.

I will have a more thouough look later, but incase I have left them somehwere,

as a security measure, if i phone the CC company, will they send a new card with the same 16 digit number? or a differnt one?

In which instances do they send a different 16 digit number in the replacement card?

so it is differnt? can you request this 16digit number change?

+ I have some Saving account cards in there.

Can changing the sort code +account number be done, with the Original saving account.

Wil the savings account company, will they send a new card with the same 16 digit number? or a differnt one?

In which instances do they send a different sort code+ account number? can you request these changes? (For security, incase it gets in somebody elses hands)

From experience, they'll issue a new card number if the card is lost (presumably, if there is a risk that someone else may have the card number). If you ask for a replacement card because your card is damaged, they'll probably issue you a card with the same number. (This may very from issuer to issuer though).

(EDIT) I've also had a new card number issued because I lost a payment slip for the card, which had the card number printed on it.

I don't think they'll issue you a new account number, and the sort code is usually tied to a particular branch. It's probable that they'll just issue you new cards with a new number. Were the account no and sort code on the cards?
