Homecare (Br Gas) discount - Home Emergency Insurance Discount

Reviewing my finances I rang up HomeCare to find out what boiler/ch cover would be alone. I am currently on full level of cover including plumbing and electrics which is £29.61 pm at renewal later this month.

My house insurance does provide some emergency cover so I was thinking about overlap.

The difference seems to be that the house insurance covers what they deem to be an emergency, whereas the Homecare covers repairs too.

Anyway - without any prompting I was offered a discount of just over £3 a month - saving £36 a year if I stay with them. So if your renewal is near it is worth ringing up and enquiring about reducing cover :)
