ESA Question

Hi All,

I was awarded ESA in June 2010. I had the medical in May 2010. The medical recommended a 6 month review (or words to that effect).

In December 2010, as expected, I received a new ESA50 to complete. I sent it off mid Jan 2011.

A couple of days ago I received a letter from JCP (ESA72) informing me that I had been placed in WRAG. It also said that my case will come up for review again in Aug 2011 (under the title "Future Assessments").

I'm a bit puzzled as to what is going on.

Has my claim for ESA just been extended until Aug 2011 without the need for a new medical? I was under the impression that every time I sent in a new ESA50 I would have to have a new medical.

No you do not necessarily have a medical during each review, sometimes cases can be decided on the paperwork alone without the need for a medical.
