Multiple Debit Cards on Barclays Account

I currently have a basic Barclays Cash Card account. Due to money issues/gambling etc in the past I'm looking for ways for my girlfriend to have access to my account to put her mind at ease for the long term.

Does anyone know if you can have multiple cards on a single Barclays account without putting her name on as a joint account holder? (The reason we do not want to put her name on it is my credit rating is shot to pieces and do not want to bring her down with me).

If you cannot have multiple cards, does anyone know of any other way of achieving an additional card for the account?

I suspect if she were to get a debit card on your account (which I'm not sure is possible) it would create the very financial link that you're trying to avoid

Hi Joe.

Unfortunately it isn't possible to just have 2 cards on an account as far as I am aware. You can only get another card if the card you have is canceled and a new one ordered. The only way to have 2 cards for the same account is just a joint account but as the previous poster said - this will create a financial link which you are trying to avoid unfortunately.

If your girlfriend wants a debit card under your account, you have to declare her name on it.

Why don't just have her open a seperate account from you?
