Santander - Changing names on accounts/changing account ownership...

So who else has suffered the same or similar mis-fortune (if you have already posted about it, please link into here). And has it been resolved yet?

These sort of cases really ought to be reported to the Information Commissioner (helpline: 0303 123 1113). While mistakes do happen, the frequency of this type of incident involving Santander, as reported on these forums and in some newspapers, ought to prompt the Information Commissioner to take action - but he can only do so if cases are reported to him.
Note that the Data Protection Act does not just cover the disclosure of data - it also requires organisations to maintain accurate data and guard against loss or damage to data. On the face of it Santander regularly falls short in these areas.0 -
