should we convert to gas central heating?

Hi, we just bought a 2-bedroom maisonette in London and we have the possibility to convert from an all-electric system to gas central heating.
Is it worth it? That is, knowing the cost of the installation, how can we find out in how many years we are going to repay the investement?

Thanks!

Hie Edie., as a ball park figure, allowing for loss of interest on the money invested, and other things ....£500 a year extra.
Tho a deduction could be made for extra value on the flat because of gas central heating.
Depends largely how long you will be keeping the property and how well insulated.
