It's another counter-intuitive thing about "the system", isn't it? If you had a problem with debts, keeping your car on the road so you can go to work would "seem" the priority. Not getting the leccy cut off would "seem" the priority. Council tax doesn't "seem" a priority.

If a partial payment was made then you might be OK they "may" wait till the end of the month. How much in arrears do you have? Would a deduction of earnings order be OK for you? They can only deduct a certain percentage from your pay which varies from 3% to 17% of your net pay depending on what you earn and it will ensure the bill is paid on time. Make sure you start budgeting and get over to the debt-free wannabe board to get more help.:footie:
