Am I the only one to distrust completely any company that uses totally meaningless and highly misleading phrases like 'up to 50% off everything'?

Habitat is a bit expensive even during the sale and 15% off voucher code, but they do have some nice things.

I have to say, having been down there today is not so great!!!!!

I overheard staff talk about bringing in new stock - obviously because the masses think there is a sale.

What really disturbed me, is that they are jacking up the prices on some items.

Example the DITA picture. At the tills they state it was £230 and now is £126.

On the website its £110 - so HABITAT are over charging customers on some of their products.

There are still some bargains in there, if you can find them.

It is a shame Habitat in Regents Street is closing.

Went in yesterday and had a look. No big discounts and the place was a tip, hard to see what they had. I noticed that the original price was not marked on many items , just stickers with 50% off.
I asked a member of staff and he said take the item you are interestted to the till and they will tell you the full and discounted prices.
Not worth a special visit.

There are a couple of bits that are definitely cheaper then online and at other stores. It's a bit of a mess, but worth a look (I'm buying my first home, so all pretty well priced if you check online at the same time).

Really?? It was closing down like a month ago when I was there and there was people just buying overpriced stuff because it had stickers on...
It was a tip back then too

Actually I had been after a flap clock for several months and got it last week in this store for 40% off so I was very happy. It is a bit messy in the store but thats because they are closing down and have got the stockroom emptied onto the floor. No I dont work for habitat I work for Debenhams.
