I am currently in the process of sorting out a house to live in next year. I'm currently in halls and I don't know how much to budget towards my bills? If anyone could help that would be brilliant

I lived in a 5 bed last year and we each put in about £45 a month for bills. We had a joint account so it all came out by D/D which made it much more manageable then waiting for bills to come especially as some of my housemates spent all their loan within a month of getting it! We had internet included in that which was I think £40 a month so maybe you'd need to put in £35 - £40 a month.
With your gas make sure to phone them with regular meter readings because otherwise they make estimations that are wildly under and you get stung with a huge bill when you finally give a reading and it turns out they've been billing you hundreds of pounds less than you used!0
