I can't do any better than repeat the message sent to me from a GIOLer (who happens to have a rather high class MA in English).
It's really peeing me off that at the top of the MSE window it says
'Martin Lewis' MoneySavingExpert.com' and not 'Martin Lewis's...'
JM, please could you tell the powers that be that Mr Lewis is
singular and not plural? And if they don't believe me to get out the
tube at 'St James's Park'?
I await developments!

Yes, someone else is just telling me the same thing. The outcome seems to be that Martin is saving up for another 's'.......Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0

Couldn't he find a 'two for the price of one' deal ...?0 -
My reading of that blog is that they recognise it is grammatically incorrect to have what they have, but they justify it on the grounds that it looks better. <looks for the 'shakes head in sorrow' smiley>
Still, reading the part written/dictated by Martin does give us the classic :
"one of the reasons I originally chose to be a broadcast rather than a print journalist".
Yes, of course I know what he means ... but ...

'Let's eat Grandma!' or 'Let's eat, Grandma!' Punctuation saves lives.'In penguins and pearls we'll drink and we'll dance, 'til the end of our days, 'cause it ain't left to chance that we win...'0 -
Singular yes, but not regular just as you wouldn't consider Jesus or Socrates or sherlock Holmes to be regular when you speak about Jesus' miracles or Socrates' philosophies or Holmes' calabash pipe. This site belongs to Martin so there's a form of distinctiveness attached to his name just as there is sacredness to Jesus, eminence to Socrates and legacy to holmes. I think.
