Well done mortgage-girl. Getting the roof fixed properly is usually hideously expensive, but always the best thing to do - the results of a leaking roof usually end up much more expensive than just fixing the roof would have been.
    Starting again 13/4/19

You're right. I do feel like a weight has been lifted now i've had it done, no more sleepless, rainy nights for me...plus it'll be great to finally get the Christmas tree out of the dining room! :rotfl:

  • Well what a beautiful, sunny day it's been and quite a productive one too. I spent some time in the garden reclaiming the flower bed as weeds have taken over, there's more to do but i'm sure I can get it finished by the end of the week. Last week I spent my Mr T clubcard points on some T&M vouchers, so i've used them to buy some ground covering plants to help keep the weeds down a bit.

I've also completely decluttered the bathroom and cleaned it from top to bottom. It's amazing what you find tucked away in cupboards, i've now got a stash of soap and shower gel that'll keep me going for the next few months - yay to decluttering and moneysaving too! :p

I've started to dig out some bits and bobs to eb@y too, my target is to list at least 5 things on there this week, hopefully i'll get more done. I've just signed up to the make £10 a day challenge, although i'm just aiming for £5 to start with, so I do need to get myself motivated to declutter and get some things listed online. On the plus side, i've just sold an old hamster cage through the selling pages on fb and i've hit the £40 payout threshold for OPoll so that'll get me off the £0 mark once I receive the money. I've earnt over 100 sb's too so i'm quite happy with my efforts for today. Lets hope that tomorrow will be productive.

    Night all,

What a beautiful, sunny day it is today :). Heading out in the garden soon to continue weeding the border and continually take Mrs Broody chook out of the nesting box. I've tried to get her to snap out of it by shutting her out of the coop and bathing her behind in cool water but she's just not having any of it.

I've had a bit of a slow start this morning so have made a to-do list to give me a bit of a kick up the behind. By the end of the day I need to:

-weed the flower bed * done
    -tackle mountain of ironing *done
    -ebay 1 item *done
    -list teddy stash on fb
-find cheque book so that I can pay the joiner tomorrow *done

Right, better get on with it. Enjoy the sunshine everyone.

Another gorgeous sunny day, love it :D The joiner has arrived today to board out the loft and attach a loft ladder - the Christmas tree is getting ever closer to being moved out of the dining room, hooray! :rotfl:

I managed to do a few surveys on sw@gbucks yesterday so i'm hoping to be able to claim another voucher later on today. My efforts have trailed off a little bit recently but I feel motivated with it again now, so sbtv will be playing in the background while I write up my report.

My to-do list today consists of:

-Weed some more of the flower bed *oops i'll do it tomorrow
-List one item on ebay *done
    -Write up reading report *done
-Clean fish - poor things are looking a bit sad *done = happy fish
    -Declutter the living room *done

I think that should keep me going for the day.

The joiner is here again this morning to attach the loft ladder as it hadn't arrived yesterday. I'm looking forward to it all being finished now and getting my house back to normal, then that'll be one massive job I can tick off the list.

I managed to get enough Sw@gbucks yesterday to redeem another voucher :). My next target is to try and get another one by the end of the week, i've got quite a bit of schoolwork to do so the laptop will be on so I might aswell run SBTV in the background. I've also signed up to NeoBux and started to get to grips with it with a little (well a lot) of help from Apple Crumble who sent me a fab guide. It's very different to sb but it seems to have potential so i'm going to trial it and see how it goes.

    So today's to-do list is:
    -Complete a reading report *done
    -Weed the border *not done
-Plant the rest of the perennials *not done
-List another item on ebay *done
    -Submit evaluations *done

I think that's about it so I better get started.

Hope you have a good Wednesday everyone.

Well my loft ladders are finally in place which means that I can finally get up there and begin to store some things. :jI did hope to get a bit of weeding and planting done today but my balance problems flared up again so i've spent most of the day on the sofa. I'm quite disappointed as I thought the tablets the doctor had given me last week were working. Hopefully it's just a minor setback so we'll see what tomorrow brings. :o

On the positive side, i've made £12 today from a fb sale so that'll be going straight into the op pot. I've also managed to get my reading report done for work, so that's 1 out of 3 down. I'm hoping to get them all done by the weekend. I couldn't resist going out in the sun when it came out this afternoon so, even though I was slightly wobbly, I planted a few seeds (albino beetroot, runner beans, sorrel and root parsley) and have put them in the propogator to germinate.

That's about it for today. Think it's time to settle down with a cuppa and make sure I get an early night.

    Morning all,

Feel very lazy today as I only woke up an hour ago and i'm still sat here in my pj's! I'm hoping to have a productive day today but try not to do things that involve too much head movement, bending etc as I don't want to set my dizziness off again. So today's list is:

-Write up another reading report *done
-Write letter to the bank to close unused accounts *do tomorrow
-Sort out other banking bits and bobs *done
-Plant the rest of th seeds that need planting this month (homemade potting table will mean no bending :o) *done
    -Ebay another item *done

Right, better go and get ready so I can get on with it then. Not feeling very motivated today :o

Feel much less groggy today, thank goodness. I'm going to relax a little bit today as I feel i've overdone it a bit over the past couple of days. Had another episode with my balance last night so a day spent relaxing might do me some good. There's just a few things on my to-do list for today, nothing too labour intensive:

    -Do the dusting *done
-Hoovering *not done - did the fourth task instead ;)
-Begin final reading report *not done - did the fourth task instead ;)
    -Relax :D*done

On the mortgage front, i've received a £10 voucher from CP in the post today so i'll be adding that to the op pot. I've also redeemed another £5 voucher with sw@gbucks so i'll add that when I receive it. Apart from my balance, things are ticking over nicely. :)

  • I've been signed off work for another 2 weeks :(, not good seen as i'm starting to get cabin fever already. To keep my sanity i'm going to continue with my daily to-do lists. So today's jobs are:

    -Begin final reading report
-Write to bank to close accounts
-Read through my friends course info
    -Clean the chooks

On a brighter note, this months mortgage payment has been taken and i'm now 22 months ahead of where I should be :j. I've received a statement from my mortgage company saying that my official remaining term is 14 years and 9 months, obviously I intend for it to be much shorter than that, ideally 3 years and 2 months :D, but it's motivating to see the term rapidly coming down.

I'm other MFW news, i've just requested another £5 voucher from Sw@gbucks. So i'll add that to the op pot once i've received it.

Hope the sun is shining where you are,
