Hello
Ive just seen this deal on hotdealsuk for deal computer for 351 if you take off the on site repair.
http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?b=&c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&oc=D11E02
I want it for my daughter she is 11 and will play games on it.
May question is what processor should I order and should I order the free vista upgrade which will increase the price by 90 00. As I was trying to order it but got all confused!
I don't want to buy a computer and find out its not powerful enough in a couple of months.

But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
'Cos love is free and life is cheap As long as I've got me a place to sleep
Clothes on my back and some food to eat I can't ask for anything more

depending on what you mean by games then this machine may or may not me suitable.
If you just mean playing online java games etc then it will be fine. If you want to play doom3, battlefield 2 etc then it needs a beefier gfx card.
I would buy the e6300 upgrade.
I also would go for the vista upgrade, but I would want a minimum of 1 gig to run vista.
To run vista and play games, you will find this machine inadequate within the next 6 months.0 -

It has onboard graphics which draw their memory requirements from the motherboard.
To play games effectively you'll need to invest in more memory and a video card. You'll always miss 100% of the shots you don't take - Wayne Gretzky
Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.0 -
don't see the point in worrying about Vista yet either....does not launch until March and if Xp is anything to go by it will be "buggy" for another few monthsEx forum ambassador

I agree that the memory is a bit low to run Vista. I've installed it recently on my PC with 2GB RAM and its a bit sluggish!
Don't forget though you can upgrade the RAM easily enough.0
