in Credit cards
Hi there, at my work we give out American express gold corporate cards, I think they want me to get one but I'm a bit worries about getting knocked back as people have said they do a credit check on you. Even though it doesn't appear on their credit report as an open account. why do they need to do a credit check?
Or have I got it all wrong? I know you have to fill in an application form etc but the card would arrive at work. You spend on it, the bill goes to your home address.. The company gives you the expenses but the money ultimately comes out of your bank.
Please can someone help? I can't see anything on their website and very worried.. Thanks

As far as I am aware there is no credit check done on you as this is a corporate card. Likewise if you miss payments you will not get a poor credit rating however you will get a fairly steep fine.
The credit check is done on your company when they sign up although you are ultimately responsible for any monies spent - including if you leave your employment and owe money on the card.0 -
So basically you just fill in your application form to be classed as an additional holder?0

thats what I did but mine is just a standard corporate AMEX but I cannot see the process being any different. You could always call them on the corporate number and ask - they will tell you - you are just a number to them and it will not get back to your company0
