Not quite! There was stretch on a German motorway some years ago (in Germany you basically can go as fast as your car allows...traffic permitting and speed restrictions observing...and the 'recommend speed is 130 Kilometres per hour, but you can ignore that under the already mentioned circumstances and 'put the pedal to the metal')

Now there was this stretch of motorway not far from Dortmund, where they were real swines. After a good stretch of unlimited they suddenly put up a limit of 100 Kilometres per hour and a camera right on that spot. They made a fortune, because the limit was only visible after a bend and therefore nobody was able to reduce speed on time and before they got flashed :D

No, it doesn't - and I've got a copy of a video recording from a camera van that proves it.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.
  • I suspect it is likely you'll have to take the points/fine.

What speed was recorded in the 30 zone?

Sure not! Just thought I'd input this little warning and let all now that continental cameras can be more devious than the ones known on the largest island of Europe ;) No offence was intended with my post.
