Any advice please?

I am 30 weeks pregnant with my first child and I work full time. My partner lost his job just before Christmas and has been claiming income based JSA. He moved in with me last week and we informed the jobcentre the next day but I know he will not get any money from contribution based JSA as he had worked less than a year (he was at university prior to that) so will not have paid enough contributions to qualify for conts only JSA.

He has been applying for lots of jobs with no luck, he has been offered one but is waiting on a disclosure which is going to take 2-4 weeks then he has to wait on a start date, so we're looking at a while before he gets any wages (probably 6-8 weeks and the baby is due in 10).

I have applied for the Health in Pregnancy grant and was paid that today which is going towards the pram. We have bought most of the necessities we require for the baby using money we had managed to save and with help from family and friends.

I have never claimed anything before so was just wondering if there is any other help out there that we would be entitled to? My property is rented and my full wage is paying the rent, bills, food etc so we have next to nothing left over.

I looked into the £500 Sure Start grant but we don't qualify for that as I work full time.

Any help appreciated.
