Battery operated Christmas/Fairy lights

Does anyone know where I can get some battery operated Christmas/Fairy lights fairly cheaply?

Thanks,

Last year I got some in Tescos for either £2.99 or £3.99, they were brilliant, and I'm going to get more this year if they have them.

  • I like the sound of these, but how long do the batteries last?

Depends on the make of batteries, and how long you have them on for...we use ours in the bathroom for around the window..sad I know, but I like to "christmas" every room in the house lol.

I usually get Duracell batteries from Costco, and I was thinking of putting them around the front door as there is no plug nearby, so I guess they would be on for about 6 - 8 hours a day. Do you think one lot of batteries would last for a week?

They have some in Tesco today, 3 different types ranging from £2.97 - £4.97 with from 20 to 40 lights.

Last year I used my lights throughout Xmas on the same set of batteries, although I turned them off when we weren't in the room.
