ESURE - do not touch this insurance company

I had a break in at my house three months ago, had gold and electrical items stolen. All details were submitted to the company. They requested the crime report from the police, waited 8 weeks for this. When they received this, they say details do not match what i had reported stolen, so they say they are going to reject the claim. I contacted the police station who dealt with my claim who verified they had all details but these were not with the original report. I passed on the details for the local police station to the insurance company who verified this.
A few days later they say they are going to reject the claim on exaggeration of items stolen, this seems suspicious!
It seems to me they had no intention of honouring the claim from day one. Why did they waste 8 weeks by obtaining the crime report? This all seems very suspicious.
I have contacted the ombudsman who I have instructed to investigate the claim, and all documents I have emailed them so they have a full picture.
Do not touch this company with a barge pole, their delaying tactics are dreadful and they have no sympathy with their clients. They emply a company called TCF whose sole motive is to reject the claim no matter what!
So beware, if you are with esure my advise is to switch, they are dreadful. Also lessons learnt on cheap insuarnce, this does not always pay.
I will just sit and wait for the ombudsman's investigation which may take months.

To be honest you could probably say the same for any insurance company, you say they employ a firm who's only aim is to reject claims? Well, that's pretty much the crux of insurance companies isn't it? They're geared to saying no not yes to "protect" themselves. Sad but true :<0
