In some regions?
Firmus Energy is now competing against previous monopoly provider Phoenix Natural Gas to the Greater Belfast area but not the rest of the territory.Dave0 -
Hi there, might be worth having a look at the posting rules if you want information about getting permission to post: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/site/forum-faqs#companies
Hope this helps

Northern Ireland as a whole is dominated by home heating oil, with natural gas being a relatively new form of energy. The Greater Belfast area (which includes Larne, Lisburn, Bangor, Holywood, Carrickfergus and Newtownabbey) is the only natural gas area open for competition in Northern Ireland. Phoenix Natural Gas have been the incumbent supplier there since 1997, and while the market opened in 2007, firmus have been the only active supplier since the market opened.

Hi everyone
We've agreed that firmusenergy can reply on this thread only to answer any questions as long as they're questions specifically about firmus.
