    Morning all :hello:

Madcat, I just use ph0tobucket for images (bumps etc) so don't use it for my own photo's. I'd do as Handy says and resize. If all else fails have a word with Numpty as well xx

    Hi If...

I don't use them for for photo's either, or editing - I just do as you do and copy pics to put on here :( It's very strange somedays it will and others it wont

Hi madcat, I don't fully understand this Bandwidth thing either. Once or twice I went over with photo's I had uploaded. Some of them were in HD, 2 - 5 Meg in size. Now I edit them before uploading they are still the same size to look at put are only 200 - 600 k in size.

Don't ask, I only use putors not make of fix them. Too technical for a geriatric. But I havent had a problem since I reduced the file size of everything I post.

    Hope this Helps. Regards, Handy.:D

    Hi Handy,

Thanks for your advice but as you can see from the above post I only copy pics to put on here - and not that many either (but as many as I can ;))

PS did you see my post at the bottom of page 165 re e-cigs?

Aghhhhhhh - I need the head bashing smiley. I consider myself to be fairly patient (well in forum world anyway) but sometimes only a head bashing smiley will sum up how you feel.

PS does anyone else consider themselves a different person in forum world to the real world - I am not anywhere near as 'nice', patient, sympathetic or understanding in the real world :o.

    Good Morning Folks.

Sometimes I think we need more clarification on what is not a troll to add to the existing what is a troll post on the top of our pages. And just giving answers that a poster does not like or want to hear does not make the responder a troll.

    I agree Tixy :T

I always follow the rules as set out in the notice above ie

    "What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads."

Twice yesterday as I was following links to spammers, I saw threads started by newbies that were immediately jumped on by long standing members. My attention was drawn to these threads by the name(s) of regular members that keep cropping up.

One in particular was by a woman who must have been quite elderly as she had a 'subnormal' daughter of 59. She had cared for this daughter at home since she had been born but was now asking for help.

She was immediately criticised for using the word 'subnormal' by one member in particular and no attempt was made to help.

The OP may or may not have been genuine but I know many elderly people who haven't a clue about being 'politically correct' on any subject because throughout their lifetime these terms were acceptable.

At no time, apart from that one word was this lady rude or abusive, which is more than can be said for some of the replies, and she even apologised for upsetting anyone.

Before I could respond I was called away but when I went back the thread had been deleted, no doubt without any explanation to any of the posters!

The point I am trying to make is in this instance, who was the Troll? and also why should the innocent be punished along with the guilty?

rant over, forgive me it's Monday! :o

I know exactly how you feel Tixy :)

and I think the reason 'most' of us are nicer on the forums than we are in the real world is because we have chance to think of what we want to say - which is what makes me angrier at the rude people
