    Hello All

    Happy Sunday

Oooh are you making us a pie Tixy?? :D

I had blackcurrant crumble If. Tasty. :j The blackcurrant bushes are laden down with fruit though, so maybe pie next time - if the blackbirds don't get them all first.

By the end of this week all my debts will be on interest free deals aside from the overdraft (and the mortgage!) which should allow me to make a much better dent in them over the next year. Probably should have a few lean months trying to blitz the overdraft. I do like spending though :o

    Lynnee's troll's thread/post has gone now :)

Hi all, been in A&E with Mrs Handy most of the day.
After the last few weeks of back and forth to the doctors, we finally have some solution. She was waiting to see a surgeon next Friday but over the last 48 hours the pain was so bad I decided to call NHS direct this morning. The Doc we saw referred her back to the A&E where a young Nurse Clinician ordered another set of X Rays, Nothing to be seen on the original, but on the new one you could plainly see a healing fracture, possibly infected.

The Orthopod decided that they would pot her leg and keep her in for a few days rest and possible IV antibiotics.

I nipped home for a while to see to the Dogs and pack a few things for her.
When I got to the ward she was on her back with one leg in the air.
I said that its been a while since you were waiting for me in that position. Caused a snigger or two from one of the nurses. When she's back on her feet I will have to dodge a frying pan for that one.

Its a long time since I saw Mrs Handy Plastered.:rotfl:
She gave up the drink some years ago.

I pinched a wheelchair and got her outside for a coffee and a smoke.
We got picked up on CCTV and asked by a voice over the tannoy to extinguish our cigarettes and wait for a member of security to come and have a word with us. Those Hospital chairs have a fair turn of speed. Tomorrow we will stand (in Mrs H's case sit) in the same place puffing on our Electronic Ciggy's. Let the Tobacco Gestapo come to have words then :mad:

Anyway that's the news for now. Hopefully things will get better for her from here on in. How did she do it? we don't really know. She was told last year she had brittle bone. All she can remember is banging her shin with a hoover up at the hall @ 6 weeks ago.

If I don't get back this evening. See you all in the Morning.
    Regards, Handy. :D

    Hiya Handy

I'm sorry to hear that Mrs H. is in hospital but at least is sounds like they know what the real problem is now and she will get the proper treatment (hopefully)

I used to be a heavy smoker and mentioned earlier in the thread how I was able to give up using Champix which I got from the docs, but I can remember how awful it was to be in hospital as a smoker, and now it's much much worse! How awful for you both

I know you have an e-cig which sounds great for smokers in situations such as that. I have no idea how much these things cost or where you get the stuff from but one of my favourite cashback sites gives you over 20% off each purchase from a site called E-Lites.co.uk, PM me if you want more details ;)

PS your jokes made me chuckle and also the term 'tobacco gestapo' :D
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours :)

A long time ago Pania wrote the message below to Newcomers or anyone who comes across a troll on the forum.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

    What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!

What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Report” icon, as shown below:
    report.gif
Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the MSE team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM

It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours :)
