  • I love this idea - I think I'm going to borrow it :j

How about BBQ choccy banana's with a booze sauce?

Take an unpeeled banana and make a slit in it. Stuff with chocolate buttons (or even left over tree chocolate). Spoon in a couple of teaspoons of booze (brandy works well). Wrap the whole the whole thing up in tin foil and BBQ for about 10 mins. Its yummy!
  • How about butterflied lamb? You just get shoulders or legs of lamb and get the butcher to bone them and then "butterfly" them - this just means that you end up with a flat large piece of boneless lamb (or you can use pork too) which is great for cooking on a BBQ. You could make a marinade with mint, yoghurt, lemon juice and salt and pepper and it would be lovely just served with lovely crusty bread and butter and a salad. If you go for pork (which is probably more economical) then you can make the marinade from tomato ketchup, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar and mustard.

  • whole salmon stuffed with herbs and lemon slices wrapped in damp newspaper.

Corn on the cob, leave the stalks on and wrap in foil, squeeze lime juice over before eating.

    Jackets potatoes, yum.

The wheat bags are a really good idea. I have used them whilst watching DS play football. Ours is approx 18 inches long and 6 inches wide. I wrap it around the base of my back and it keeps me absolutely toastie.

I think your bbq idea is great:)
