    Hi

If your wife earns more than £100 a week you won't be able to claim Income Based JSA due to your wifes wages so job seeking benefits are out.

Are you not able to work? Do you have care or mobility needs?

If you answer yes to the above you could look into ESA or DLA respectively (though given you have had 6 months of job seeking benefits I can't see how you can argue this).

How about no longer being masochistic?
    How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?
  • Your wife could claim working tax credit if income is low enough.

Double check your entitlements on the Turn2us online benefit calculator.

The Shelter website has a really good section for homeowners struggling to pay their mortgage and a dedicated homeowner advice line.

The members on the MSE debt free wanabee board will be able to suggest a new strategy to deal with your debt due to your drop in income.
