Working tax credits

I started a job mid December and checked to see if I would be eligible for working tax credit and it said I am, confirmed when I called for a form. However now my job has unexpectedly ended and I have not even received the application form, now I am not working (though desperately looking) can I still claim?

Working tax credits is as it sounds a tax credit for WORKING. As you are not working you cannot claim0
