  • try the Coventry First account with the Coventry Building Society.

It has a debit card but is cleverly in fact a Savings Account.

You can have DDs SOs etc and online banking. Nice interest rate and staff seem friendly when you ring up.

Try Citibank's Sterling Current Account as I have just opened that and I was declared bankrupt two years ago so if I can get the account I don't see why you can't.

It comes with a cheque book and visa debit card.
  • Seems to me all this credit scoring lark is no more than a lottery

Have you recently moved house? If so then I would wait for electoral roll to update and maybe try again? If you've recently (within the last 3 months) moved house then that will go against you.
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
