Lots of photo Christmas baubles, Subbuteo mug sets, tie and cufflink sets and sweet bags of Everton mints at lunchtime.
I also took advantage of a wonderful display of reduced jewellery priced at £1 and £2.
Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

Going into town again tomorrow (Liverpool) so will visit the Clayton square store again to see whats left if anything. Hopefully they will still have keyrings, crackers and some subbueto sets left :)
  • Popped into Broughton tonight expecting everything to have gone but managed to pick up a tie & cufflink set, some Xmas cards, a diary and a pencil tin for the grand total of £3. Had loads in the 75% off sale too so very happy with my boots bargains this year!
  • Well, my cup overfloweth!! :j Went into my small local branch, and they had some bits and pieces on a stand, still with a large "75% SALE" sign, and picked up 2 tins of the £4 spicey biscuits, for 40p each, less discount, so 36p!

They are fine for 36p, but have no idea who would buy these for £4, or even 3 tins for £8!

    xx
  • Nothing much left anywhere now by the sound of things. But, I noticed the jewellery by the till area and bought the few remaining bangles, necklaces and rings originally £6 - £8 and now reduced to £1. Kept a few for myself, but the rest will make lovely presents.

Easy to overlook these bargains in haste to check out 90%, but this is well worth checking out.

  • I have been to Boots in Fareham this afternoon. There are lots of rolls of Christmas wrapping paper left (was £3, now 30 p) and Christmas tags (Santa and snowman pictures) 10 pence per pack (8 tags).

Off subject: went to Claires as well. There are many lucky bags left (10 items) £3 each plus few lovely white winter hats £2 each.

Online only, 75% sale, some Yardley gift sets for my neighbours (in their 90s) and a Christmas Card "To my wife" for DH to put away! ;) I have enough P & P Body Serum to fill a swimming pool, and a bag of No 7 freebies, or almost freebies (sponges mostly, all under or about a fiver), "bought" for free, or 50p, with wombled vouchers, for the next church bazaar.

The days of weekly bargains and glitches have long since gone. :(

is there any thing left in the birmingham stores?

Nothing in the New Street store except the couple of boxes of cards, few boxes of cracker and boxes of jelly sweets that have been there for weeks :(

High Street Branch has one display stand of 90% clearance (around the corner from the ACM by the lift) and just had Weenicons Twisty puzzles, Dora the Explorer Bubble Bath, couple of Subbuto bits, a few Annuals and Phone Sock things. Thats it :(

I had a look downstairs to see if they'd hidden it down there but nothing :(

However - I saw the 'adopt a donkey' gift sets with all the other 'experience' gift sets and asked the SA to scan one and it came up at £2.04 :D

    I got:

    2 x Subbuto Cufflinks @ 80p each
    3 x Adopt A Donkey @ £2.04 each
6 x Dora Bubble Baths @ 23p each (and double parenting points!)
    1 x Weenicon Twisty Puzzle thing @ £1
1 x Banana Boat (banana sweets in a plastic boat) @25p
