Coventry E-Notice Account Review

Opened a new Coventry E-Notice account last week and thought I would post up my experience.
After hearing bad reports on them asking for certified IDs I was slightly nervous as I could not be bothered with any hassle if it arises.
I applied on-line and it was very smooth, the next day I received from them my printed application form for me to sign.
They said that i did not need to provide ID as I was electronically verified.
Sent off the cheque with my first deposit together with the application form and a few days later I received my welcome pack containing the first part of my online code.
Part 2 of on-line code came a few days later and I logged onto find that the money was already deposited.
Overall a very good service from Coventry Building Society and a very good rate.

We opened on last week and it was completely painless. Cov are generally pretty efficient.0

I already had an account (internet access) with only 12 pounds in but the new account was opened and running in less than 10 minutes.0

Never had any trouble before with them for myself, but tried to open the 'e' today for my mum, and it flatly refuses to accept that her post code is valid . Its been used many times before with other various online accounts, and Ive tried it with a space between the two halves, without one, changing the '0' for a O just in case, but no, nothing. Got the online email address for queries, filled in her details - then oops its compulsory to put in her full addresswith postcode . Turns it down again as invalid. How infuriating , hope it doesnt get pulled before I can ring the helpline tomorrow.( If anyone has any ideas what the problem might be by the way, please let me know. )0

You can add me to the list of satisfied Coventry customers. I've just opened the e-notice account, which went smoothly, but that's just the latest in about six years of good solid service.
Contrast that with Nationwide... who I have been with for over thirty years, from the days when mutual and membership meant something, but now seemed to have turned into a bunch of pirates, masquarading as a second class bank. If there was a branch nearby, I'd have closed my accounts long ago. I honestly think they are worse than Satander!0 -
I am an existing Coventry accountholder and opened one of these easily online.
I was very pleased recently that Coventry wrote to me to tell me theaccount 'bonus period' was coming to an end and a new lower rate would apply this contrasted with Sainsbury's bank who shafted me by not telling the the rate had dropped some 2.5% and letting me find out myself.0
