CIS Car Insurance

Last year I took out insurance with CIS for my car. Paid over £100 on Debit card and signed up for 10 DD payments. The insurance was just up for renewal but I received no renewal price. Rang CIS who informed me the DD payments were not taken altho the DD was set up ok. Apparently they have had a problem. So it appears I was uninsured last year and paid over £100 for the privilige. i genuinely did not realise the DD's had not been taken. Should/could I ask for the £100 to be refunded as they did not deliver the service or should I just let it go?

Are you sure about what has happened? They could argue that you were insured for the year and now owe them money.
If they are saying you were not insured then definately complain and ask for a refund from them.
