life insurance

Options
I'm after some life insurance, but have got a bit confused. I've looked on cavendish on line, as recomended on here, but its given me several options, and I'm not sure whats the difference. The choices are PTA Level, Life Protection with Tax Relief, Term Assurance or Level Protection Plan. They're all about the same amount, with either gross or net prices.
Also, can I claim this on my self assesment tax form?
Thanks
Mary

Only if you are a higher rate tax payer and choose one of the pension term assurances and only for the life cover element if is it packaged product (i.e. also has critical illness cover). Basic rate tax relief is taken care of at source (i.e. the direct debit is net of basic rate tax relief).

Pension term assurance is also written as a master trust automatically.
