Hi all,
I received a PCN from Total Parking Solutions on Friday last week, whilst parked in a Halfords car park........even though i went into Halfords !!!
I contested this straight away and received a letter from them today to basically say i need to prove that i used the Halfords shop.
I was going to reply to say that i had no proof of this as i didn't purchase anything and for them to prove that i didn't enter the shop.
On reading various posts i am now thinking that i should just ignore all further correspondance.
Am i okay to do this even though i have written to contest this ?
Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

you need to PROVE NOTHING. (although, innocently enough, you've confirmed yourself as driver which isn't a good idea when dealing with these tricksters).sbrookings wrote: »Hi all,

do not correspond further -IGNORE - and withstand the barrage of meaningless threats of court action, etc which will follow.
following this board for the past few months and I've seen a fair no. who panic (and prob. pay) at the sight of a debt-collector's letter.
don't be one of them. you owe nothing. TPS cannot demonstrate a loss. even if this went to court (highly unlikely) you've got a solid defence.

Ok thanks for your help, nice to get some re-assurances.
I shall await the barrage of threatening letters :mad:0 -
Just send a lovely letter to the manager of Halfords saying if this is the way they treat customers than you shall take your custom elsewhere.
Ignore TPS as you don't owe them a penny as the landowner suffered nil damages0 -
Good idea, think i'll do that....i don't use the store frequently but then they don't know that

Cheers for your help :beer:0 -
That's a new one "you need to prove" always assumed it was the other way round myself!0
