Balance transfer on application

I've had a quick look at the T&C's and from what I can see, most balance transfer offers apply to balances transferred within 60 days.

I've been knocked back by a couple of credit card suppliers and need to transfer from my existing card badly. Do I need to specify on application that I want to transfer balance - and could that be affecting my application?

I presume I could just apply, without suggesting that I want to transfer balance, but then do it as soon as I (hopefully) get my card, as long as it's within the 60 days? If they refuse to take the balance then at least I can cancel the card right?

You don't need to mention it but I would think its unlikely to be affecting your applications.

Do you know what else might be affecting it? what is your credit history like? have you checked your credit report to see everthing is as it should be? might it be down to affordability (high existing debt and credit compared to your income), have you moved house or jobs recently or any other signals to creditors of 'instability'?
How many credit applications have you made in the last few months?

It will not affect your aplication, think it must be to do with your credit file if you've been rejected a number of times.
