Child benefit payments question

Sorry if this is in the wrong section...but have been claiming child benefit with no problems for years, but for the last two weeks i have had no payments into my account. I get my payments on a tuesday. I just phoned up the helpline and they couldnt tell me why my payment had not gone in, they just confirmed my details and said they would try again in the next 7 days.
The only change i have had is my surname which i phoned up to inform them of recently and they have got all the details of that, could it be because my bank account is still in my old surname and that would make the bank refuse to accept the payments, being 38 weeks pregnant i havent got into town yet to change my name on my bank account. I just presumed that the payments would still go into my account as usual and it wouldnt matter what name was on the account...has anyone else had anything similar happen?

If the name on the bank account is not the same name cb are trying to pay you with the bank won't accept the payment.0
