Not sure what to do with SP!!
I have just been comparing prices with SP, my fixed tariff is due to end in Feb. I cannot make up my mind if I want to capped again or not. Based on my average yrly gas usuage of 11902 kwh and 2700 kwh electricity. We are low users, it is only two of us. It will cost me £783.56 online energy and £863.96 if I capped until June 2013. Pl can somebody help me with this decision to capped or not? I did a comparison with u switch, apparently will be better off with EDF online saver 8. Thanks

No one knows which way prices will go, if we did we'd all do the same thing. Basicaly if you cap you are paying an extra £80 for insurance against prices rising more than a certain amount. Only you can decide if you want such insurance or not.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

macman's advice is good, if you rate a good deal as having price surety for a period of time, cap. If you want the cheapest deal do the online energy saver, if you look at the difference in cost between cap and ol only deals, it's cheaper not to cap, and perhaps have to wswitch if the company you have puts their rates up.0
