Open an ebay shop or not

Hi Everyone,
Hope you can help. I have just started selling less than a month ago. I only sold for about £50 but my ebay fees are already about £32 (due to items not selling and relisting again). Could you please tell me if it would be cheaper for me to open an ebay shop or not. Thanks.

if you open an ebay shop you get the first month free so it should be good to give it a go and see how you feel. There are problems though, ebay in their infinate wisdom have decided to reduce the visibilty of shops and double the final value fee for shops. hence you pay 5% for BIN listed but in a shop you pay 10%. The only good thing about it is that you have the item listed for 30 days for the money. But the bad visibilty is a problem good luck.0

The visibilty is a problem but only if you are selling the same thing that everyone else is selling, - if there are only a few rival items they will all show in a search. I'd have a go for the free month as lovetoshop suggests but wait until you have everything ready to sell (photos etc) so that you don't waste a few days getting ready.0
