this is my current employers car policy
Competent in a particular technical discplines (Mechnical or Electrical etc), may need support in the more technically complex or non routine activities. Minimum supervision will be given and team members will be responsible for the 'day to day' planning and managing their own work. Feedback of errors is likely within days/ weeks. This role requires individuals will have at least 4 years experience and are likely to hold vocational qualifications such as ONC,HNC,HND. Experienced technicians will probably have completed a 4/5 year apprenticeship/period of training and be over the age of 25.

i had 1 on 1 interview with the new company & he tried fobbing me off they dont give cars due to health n safty as one of there guys badly injured his back because he broke hard & something came flying off the back seat into his back, well thats his own fault in my opinion.
i showed him my contract where it said the bit about company car & he spotted the word vehical & said that they deem that as a van!so then i said i can show you my employers car policy (the one above)he said that there car policy would be different from mine & dont need to see it!
on my contract im a technition & according to the above a technition is entitled to an astra esate.
i said i would take it to a tribunal if need be & he said i would have to take it up with our enginere rep (like a spokesmen for us guys who has to attend few meeting to disscuss isues before tupeing across) but i got the feeling he was just hoping i would just forget about it (along with approx another 70 engineres) .
the next day i did have a call from my current manager to say they wanted to contact me for a chat(my current manager put in a good word in for me saying you dont want to loose the good ones),so will wait for the call & take it from there.
