I have just had a nightmare with Top Secret Hotels with lastminute.com

I did as suggested and copy and pasted the hotel blurb into Google. It cam up with the Queens Hotel in Brighton.

Seemed like a bargain for the price. After payment confirmation I discoverd it was for the Holiday Inn, Brighton.

This is an awful hotel and have no idea why it has 4 star status. The three star Queens one is only 3 star yet is far superior.

After a few phonecalls I managed to get the "non-refundable and no cancellation" reservation cancelled. Lastminute.com told me the Holiday Inn woudl not penalise but they stung me with a £20 cancellation fee + the card fee.

It was claimed that they advised me in the first phone call that I would be charged this but I said I would have remembered. Also, if I had known this, I would not have cancelled.

So now, whatever I manage to get I have already paid an extra £20. Last time I use this mob.

Stylish hotel in Central Berlin, next to the river
