tax credits mistake

i have not recieved no working tax credits for 17 weeks due to an error on working tax credits part (they had got my partners earnings wrong by 4000 pounds a year so they stopped working tax credits to repay the £489.00 we were overpaid i have phoned the help line 42 times and complained over the phone twice and do not get any where.today i go to the bank and they have put in £51.89 after ringing them and been on hold for 28 mins they tell me its my working tax credits but they cannot tell me when i will get any back payment or if they will add it on to this years award .they have addmitted that the fault is theres what can i do i have got 17 weeks of bills to catch up on please advise:mad:

i have a overpayment of £900 because of mistakes by them which i cant prove . they even sent me an award saying i was earning £240 per year , i phoned them and asked what idiot would work for that she said she would sort it
well now i have went bankrupt and they say debt will go to wife who recieves no money whatso ever so how can she pay them back
claim at your peril i would rather do without0 -

the only thing in common is i have a problem with overpayment along with thousands of others that have claimed it are they all frauds i dont think soYes sorry, but it seems that COBBLE has a problem with HMRC over tax credits as well on another thread.
He apparently had advice from the DWP that he should carry on getting them whilst he was looking for work, instead of closing the claim down and claiming Pension Credit instead. He would have got the same money, but from a different department.
Seems HMRC are prosecuting him over it even though the government haven't lost anything and they are talking about going to court under the Fraud Act, with a possibility of prison - all for £3800!!0
