Hi I just wondered if anyone more experienced with ipods etc could answer a question for me please?

In the reviews someone says they used an iphone on this but had to put to in flight mode 1st. If i got this for use with an iphone would it still be charging when plugged in using the flight mode setting? (sorry I know nothing about these things its DH who's into his tech)

    Thanks

Just a heads up. I have this clock radio. It's great, but the display is SO BRIGHT (even on dimmer) that I have to turn the clock display off at night!

So if you like a DARK room, then it's something to consider.

Playback wise, it's a nice player though.

Edit: and you can't set the volume you want to wake up to - so if you like to wake up to gentle background radio, forget it!

I have it too - it's deafening to wake up to:o Also, found that if you put your iPod on to charge overnight then it makes a very annoying buzzing sound - not too loud but enough to irritate if you're trying to get to sleep;)
I really need to sort out a new signature!

I've got a docking station - different brand. When I dock my Iphone on it to charge, it always comes up a message telling me that certain functions on my phone are not compatible with the docking station and do I want to switch to flight mode? I always say no - my phone will still ring and I still get text messages and my alarm still works - HTH

I've been after one of these for a while and this is the cheapest I've seen them I think. They only problem I have with this one is it looks too big to have beside my bed, which is why I've decided to go for this one instead for an extra £3:

It's a little smaller and the clock display doesn't look to be quite so bright, it has good reviews so fingers crossed it's a good en'!

The problem with the other model is that you have to have a bright backlight on which illuminates the whole panel! This one doesn't look like it needs that.

Do let us know how you get on with it and what the brightness is like :)
