how to clean hair straighteners

  • i found the best way was to clean them lightly with a washing up pad (when there hot) you can get ones that wont scratch pots there the best. cleans the gunk right off.

    if it is baked on.. ovenmate! clean thoroughly before using on your hair though.

    I use washing up liquid and a sponge on mine as soon as they get sticky

  • Always try to clean Hair straighteners with brush or dry sponge..Don't use wet cloth for cleaning its iron part.
  • Don't try to clean hair straightener because it can not be wet.

    Spray some WD40 when the straighteners are cool, and then apply elbow grease.

    This method left my iron sparkling when I accidentally burned a dellicate item some years ago. Unfortunately it couldn't bring the garment back to life in the same way :o

  • Run them over a damp (not wet) facecloth after every few uses, but be careful because the cloth will get hot!
