    remember to buy rosewater for cooking - there is another version which is for cosmetic purposes and it isnt strong enough for making turkish delight.

    Thanks everyone! I had been wondering about the rose water - saw on mysupermarket that ASDA do sell it but not sure if it would be in all stores. Jackie thanks for the link - I am useless when it comes to googling recipes as I find one, compare it to another, and eventually I'm looking at a dozen wondering which is best!

    Suppose I should start a new thread now.. what to do with the vegegel!

    If you live near a store with a high ethnic demographic, they are bound to sell it.

    My nearest large store is Leyton Mills which has a large Pakistani population, it's coming up to Ramadam so I'm looking forward to buying their big bags of nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios) as good prices (£4-5 for 800g).
