I haven't been on mse very long but this is easily the most delusional posting I've read so far. Sibley, are you for real?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Narcissistic_personality_disorder
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) is a personality disorder.[1]
The narcissist is described as being excessively preoccupied with issues of personal adequacy, power, prestige and vanity. [2] Narcissistic personality disorder is closely linked to self-centeredness.
This may help you understand.0 -
The peasants that rent don't like it much though.
Anyone else find this vaguely offensive? People, even quite wealthy people, rent for all sorts of legitimate reasons. They are not all 'peasants'. There is snobbery in this country against tenants which is quite unpleasant and not generally found elsewhere in the world, where renting is seen as a completely legitimate life-style choice.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0 -

Just ignore it. Sibley will soon get bored.0 -
I think commenting on the Daily Express website has been one of the most important tasks I have ever taken on.
Which is bizarre, as for most stories, it would require you to be up at around 3am in the morning in your alleged time zone which you don't actually live in.
Referring to the second poster, I've seen far more dellusional posts. Sibley DOES actually manage to get the first comment into many house price stories across a range of papers.
What I do find it, however, is seriously weird.0 -

ahh, a Daily Express thread. And in keeping with the Daily Express style....I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Really it has become my trademark. Getting the first comment on any house price rise or decline story.
I really believe a group of people had targeted our national newspapers with the hope of spreading doom and gloom and creating panic. It was a good tactic. Almost the same as getting your own front page.
I think I can safely say I single handedly ruined that plan.
Now any homeowners reading the articles must think ' Blimey are house prices dropping?'
They drop down to the comments and see my positive posts and will just think ' Oh that's all right then. No need to drop the price'
I doubt Joe Public gets past the first post.
In the past these stories were overrun with people wishing a crash on the UK. They went unchallenged until recently.
I'm glad I motivated sellers and they now put the doomers in their place.
Actually you are dead right. If it hadn't been for people like you then the propaganda of the HPCers would have prevailed. Well done.0 -
34. I'm currently living in Bangkok but am becoming increasingly worried about the value of my home in Maidstone. Prices seem to be droping quite quickly so Idon't know if I should come home and try to sell it, or just stay here with Ting Tong, and sweat it out!
