Why is it so difficult to obtain a statement of no claims discount for car insurance when changing insurers?

My insurance companies have always stated my noclaims amount on the renewal form.
When changing i quote that amount and tell the new company who i was insured with previously and
have never had any issues with having to provide proof myself.
I always assumed they contacted them directly for proof.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I have recently changed insurance company. I asked them for a written copy, and received it in a few days. If your previous insrance company wont play ball, do what the person above said, pass on the details to your new iinsraance company, and they can make the checks themselvesTrinidad - I have a number of needs. Don't shoot me down if i get something wrong!!0
