Cheapest Daily Petrol Price!

I've been searching high and low for a tool that is able to compare and point out the cheapest petrol prices for the day.

So far, this is the closest website that meets my objective: Search for whatgas via google.

They even have an Android App for those who are on the move!

If anyone know of a better solution, please do share!

Problem is they do not list all petrol stations and as mentioned the prices are not upto date.

I find looking at the price board as i drive past the best method. Driving to a particular station
because a website says its the cheapest is not worth the effort.

Unless someone comes up with a way to adjust the prices as the garage does and for that to be
automated and not rely on someone updating it, It will never be 100%.

If i was a garage owner it would be in my favour to put the prices up after updating the site, Hopefully
people will come to the garage and not have enough fuel to go elsewhere so payup.

Remember you need to take into account how long you are waiting to get to a pump at the cheaper stations as they are generally busier! :P.

Best way I've found is to find which one is generally cheaper and go there...that said I can't be arsed to go anywhere else, I'm at Tesco 5 days a week, can fill up when its quiet, not a problem.
What is pi? Where did it come from?

Apparently petrolprices.com use the information taken from fuel cards to collate prices so the garage owner will hav no input. Obviously garages that don't take fuel cards will not be included.

well, what i like about whatgas.com is that it can be updated by anyone, via a mobile, browser or desktop.

I always try to update whenever i can, especially close to where i stay. Anyone else here is based in Edinburgh?

For most people, the penny per litre you save will be burned up in the additional distance you travel.

Unfortunately whatgas is not as good as it could be, it has no search facility to only find the LPG stations, and every station has Unleaded, Diesel and LPG as options and we all know not everywhere sells LPG, and LPG stations sometimes don't sell Unleaded or Diesel. But you inevitably get idiots who have filled in prices for fuels that the station does not sell.

And the membership is not very great of people who are prepared to update the prices regularly.

Compare to this site, (you can click into English) where the users are dedicated, the information is accurate. If only we had something like that in UK. LPG prices are largely stable, so don't change very often like petrol, so if you see on that site a price is 20 days old it is likely because the price has not changed.

I think that is the downfall of whatgas, because they are not user friendly to the LPG user the LPG users don't bother going there. And because petrol prices fluctuate wildly and frequently the petrol users don't bother going there. Result......no-one goes there!

And they have stations that closed down years ago with no easy method of removal/reporting. I'm sure I reported stations for removal a couple of years ago but they are still on there.

It's not very up-to-date though. At least petrolprices.com is only out by a couple of days at the most.
