It's for my Mum really
in an all electric flat with economy 7 metering
just had a letter over the weekend almost doubling the monthly payments to £113

Ok so energy prices have gone up, however plugging the numbers into uswitch and mysmartmeter suggests a monthly of £53 (SP) or £65 (npower), but plugging the same numbers in via the npower site suggests £109 per month  again

the usage is Night 10010 kwh Day 2057 kwh over 12 months

any ideas why such a descrepancy?

Always put your actual annual kWh usage into the comp sites, not your monthly DD amount. The latter does not produce accurate results.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Yes, I agree, I did input the the actual readings (I had noted the 12 months of usage) , also did I see somewhere of the companies having a tariff for those over 60 and earning less than £13k per annnum?

Does npower take it's annual discount into account?
But why worrry when SP is £144 a year cheaper?
Don't forget to sign up via a cashback site, not direct through a comp site, in order to maximise your savings.
